Localised Dry Spots Localised Dry Spot (LDS) is caused by soil fungi secreting a wax which coats the soil particles making them repel water. Laboratory trials have shown that when a solution of AQUA-ZORB at the recommended rate of 2.5 ltrs per 500 sq metres is percolated through a sieved sample taken from an LDS area of water repellent soil, the 'waxy' coating on the soil is removed. In these images you can see the difference before and after AQUA-ZORB is applied on these scanning electron microscope pictures.
