Difference between wetting agents

Although we do not wish to put confidential information on our website, we researched the relation between Fiba Zorb and other products which are used to (re)wet substrates.

Unfortunately, many wetting agents give very poor results.

Therefore we advise you to gather information before you decide, from your supplier:

  • How fast is the water adsorption?
  • What is the longevity, after mixing with potting soil and other substrates?
  • Is it possible to was it out?
  • Is it toxic? (sometimes you even find an “Andreas-cross” on the packing).
  • Is it flammable and at what temperature?
  • Does it work after extreme drying out?
